Does this coupon work to save money on student textbooks?

I've been given a coupon for 5% off textbooks at Valorebooks.com but for some reason it is not working. It doesn't have an expiry date nor is it for one person only. Does anyone know why?

The coupon code is "gtsave28"

Plz any help would be appreciated for i especially need to save money on books this semester.

If it doesn't work, try using amazon.com. You can get used books for REALLY cheap there (much cheaper than 5% off).

I don't think that you have a valid code…Here are a couple of others to try for 5% off.

CASHSAVE
5%PROMO
4SAVING

For the best coupons / coupon codes try mycoupons.com

Hope this helps!

Please remember that coupons vary by area so we may not be getting everything listed, or in the amounts listed. I post this just to give you an idea of what is out there! BUT remember, if you see something you can use or want and we do not get it, you can always order from ebay or a clipping service!!

What supermarket do you shop at to save money?

super walmart… although some items are cheaper elsewere.. i seem to have a lower total grocery bill there.

Kroger or any super market that has those cards that can get you extra savings… I don't know if it really gives you extra savings as I am still researching that… and anywhere that mails me a flyer for their weekend sales..

by starting to shop on sales and using a stores savings card my grocery bill lowered from $175 a week to $100 a week…

Food Town . . HEB. . .and Walmart

No Frills, and Maynards Independent from Loblaws. Good selection at good prices and clean markets to shop in.
I like them.

With the prices raising everywhere, you really aren't saving any money anymore

Piggly Wiggly . I would go to Walmart but its always packed.

I like Winco Foods, they have overall low prices on top brands and you don't have to buy large quantities to save. In other words you can buy regular sizes and save you don't have to buy the five gallon size to save.

Stater Bros and lots of coupons..

I usually do all of my shopping at Publix.. I go through their weekly ad and get the BOGO items that I currently need. When I can bring myself to do it, I will go to Walmart to get non food items like paper plates, paper towels and such. I hate going to two different stores just to save money, so I also use my coupons when added with the BOGO items, I can save up to $40 a time when I shop.

Save Money Through Discount Voucher Codes

The shopping freaks love to hop around different stores to collect the necessary and not-so-needed items. But, not everyone is blessed with enough time to spend hours for shopping. They need something special so that they can shop conveniently and at the same time save time and save money. Today, thousands of corporations offer voucher codes for discounts on all types products. Guest Post: Saving Money on Pantry Staples

Welcome to Bargains to Bounty! If you’re new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed or daily email update so you won’t miss a deal. Thanks for visiting!

The following article is a guest post from Nicole at Coley’s Qs.

1. Keep an eye on the clearance shelves. Many people tend to walk by the clearance shelves at grocery stores, assuming that the markdown items are damaged or about to expire. I’ve found that my best staples deals are found here. Often, the manufacturer has just decided to change the packaging or the store has decided to stop carrying the products. My first stop at the store is always the clearance shelves. These locations vary from store to store, so if you don’t know where to find yours ask an associate to point it out to you. A few of the clearance deals I’ve found recently, for example:

Pure Clover Honey, 12 oz: regular $2.99, marked down to $1.39. That’s only $0.12/oz! Since the cheapest retail price I can find is normally $0.16/oz, I stocked up. My family will normally go through 1 jar every other month. Because the expiration date is May 2012, I bought 12 bottles.

Red Star Active Dry Yeast, 4 oz: regular $7.99, marked down to $2.39. That makes it $0.60/oz. The average retail price is $1.99/oz, so this is almost a 70% savings. Once again I estimated what my family use  before it expired (June 2011) and decided to purchase 8 jars. Overall, I saved myself nearly $44.00 on just this item.

2. Use coupons (of course!).While coupons for items like flour aren’t common, they do come around. When they do appear, you need to make the best use of them. They are typically published around major baking holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter). When I find coupons for baking items, I’ll buy several more papers than I normally would or purchase additional coupons from ebay or a clipping service. Since these coupons typically line up with holiday sales, this is a prime stock up time. But I will sometimes hold on to them until after the holiday is over (if I have a comfortable stockpile) to wait and see if they will be clearanced in the weeks after.

3. Ask for rainchecks.Since staples are in such high demand around the holidays they will often sell out, particularly at the drugstores. Last December, Walgreens had flour and Crisco on sale for a good price and there were coupons to be used, but my store sold out in a few days. I made sure to get rainchecks, and then returned on the last day of the sale to find them in stock. I purchased enough with my coupons to last until nearly March. When I ran out, I used my rainchecks to purchase more at the sale price. While the coupons had expired by then, the sale price was still better than anything I could find elsewhere.

4. Buy in bulk.If you find that you must pay full retail price for a staple item, then it is almost always better to buy as large of a quantity as you can. If you don’t have the room to store 25 pounds of rice, or don’t think you can use it all in a timely fashion, consider splitting the cost with a friend or family member so you can still take advantage of the lower price. The best thing about pantry items is that most will have a long shelf life if stored properly.
